Basic Shapes

 For this assignment we had to create recognizable objects using only basic shapes. The Pathfinder tool was extremely helpful for this project along with the grouping option. I found myself using a white shape to forge an "erasing" technique to help achieve the right shape. I was amazed at how difficult it was to get the correct shapes with the limited amount of tools we could work with. The apple, for example, was very troublesome considering the sides are not simply just an ellipse. To fix this problem I layered many ovals and combined the shapes with the pathfinder tool.

While it was difficult to get shapes with the limited tool palette, I found it extremely challenging and teaching. I definitely have a new found appreciation for the Pathfinder panel!
